Around The Sound is a print and online media outlet bringing you the best of contemporary music from Western Australia, nationally and internationally.

We bring you excellence in music journalism and unique insights into music-makers, both iconic and newly-minted.

We also contribute to the health and vitality of the music industry. Led and staffed by a collective of music industry professionals, we exist to promote everything that is enticing about music from your backyard to around the world.

By lifting the lid on the diverse music scenes happening right now and shedding light on that buzz we aim to do our part in getting more people seeing and buying music in Australia. We have a strong focus on local produce and one of our main aims is to further focus the world’s attention on the force that is WA music.

Around The Sound also creates direct employment in the music industry, providing opportunities for journalists, online communicators and marketers, as well as web developers and administrators.
